Dr Sarit Badiani VIC General and Colorectal Surgeon (VIC) BMedSci (Hons), MBChB, MSc, FRACS, CSSANZ


Dr Sarit Badiani is a Melbourne-based colorectal and general surgeon with advanced subspecialty training through the bi-national ANZTBCRS (CSSANZ) Colorectal Fellowship Program.

He completed his medical degree and early surgical training in the United Kingdom, followed by Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Australia. He then undertook two years of advanced colorectal fellowship training at Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney) and Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Badiani holds a public hospital appointment at Northern Hospital in Epping and consults privately at John Fawkner Hospital, Northern Private Hospital, and La Trobe Hospital.

He has a strong interest in education and holds conjoint lecturer positions at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney.

His ongoing research focuses on colorectal cancer outcomes, anastomotic leak management, and the impact of obesity and metabolic disease in colorectal surgery.
