Dr Fahmi Jalil VIC Neurosurgeon

Mr Fahmi Jalil is an Australian-trained neurosurgeon providing specialist care across inner Melbourne. He has particular expertise in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery, as well as the management of cerebrovascular disorders and brain tumours.
Mr Jalil has undergone extensive international subspecialty training to refine advanced surgical techniques aimed at improving patient outcomes. He completed a complex spine surgery fellowship at University of Toronto as part of a joint Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic program at St. Michael’s Hospital in Canada. He also undertook additional training in the United States to further develop his surgical expertise.
He has received extensive training in endoscopic spine surgery from leading centres in the United States, Asia, and Australia. Mr Jalil successfully performed the first uniportal endoscopic spinal surgery in Victoria and is now regarded as one of the most experienced endoscopic spine surgeons in the state.
Mr Jalil obtained his medical degree from University of Melbourne in 2010 and subsequently completed neurosurgical training across several major hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney, including St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Austin Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, St George Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.
Upon completion of his neurosurgical training, Mr Jalil was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, marking his qualification as a specialist neurosurgeon.
